The design idea of this watch is based on extreme action, on adventurous situations and is definitely created to meet the expectation of those active people, interested in experiencing novel environments. The new Blancpain 500 Fathoms Watch impresses with its sporty and masculine lines, which make up a cool and innovative design.
The case of the watch measures 48 mm in diameter and it’s manufactured from titanium. Amongst the strong materials used we can mention the carbon fiber of the dial, the 3.5 mm think sapphire crystal covering the dial and also the titanium found in the bezel. The designers from Blancpain have chosen to use all these strong materials to create a powerful watch, whose reliability shouldn’t be threatened by anything, not even by the passing of time.
The titanium crafted bezel is unidirectional and it is adorned with luminescent indexes, and 3 Arabic numerals indicating the minutes function, 15, 30 and 45 minutes. The only direction of the bezel prevents any accidental rotation, and it cannot affect the time on the watch. Divers can highly rely on this new timepiece to provide them with the best functionality even in the most dangerous or dark condition. In most cases, the most important feature at these diving sporty watches is represented by their water resistance competence. The new Blancpain 500 Fathoms Watch can support up to 1000 meters water resistance, without the slightest problem.
The design of the dial hints to the idea of ocean and diving, as it uses a chromatic theme of black and blue. The center of the dial is made of titanium, and the traditional hours, minutes and seconds indicators start from there. The date window can be located at the 6 o’clock position and also, the decorations of the dial are luminescent to provide the best visibility.
Regarding the technical mechanism of the new Blancpain 500 Fathoms Watch we can say that the watch uses an automatic caliber 1315 movement, assuring 120 hours of power reserve. The watch is available on a strap made of a combination of rubber and sail canvas, fitted with a triple blade folding clasp to assure the safety on the wrist.
